FLAVOR NOTES
- A smooth, unified core of velvety dark chocolate, rich molasses, and toasted cocoa nibs, underpinned by a deep, dark cacao and warm brown-sugar sweetness.
- Body: A slick, syrupy, and heavy mouthfeel with a dense, rounded structure that coats the palate beautifully.
- Finish: Low-acid, lingering, and deeply comforting, shifting into a clean finish of smoky chocolate tones and sweet, caramelized sugar.
BREWING GUIDELINES
- Pour Over / Drip - Water: 200°F-202°F. The best way to highlight this decaf's clean profile. A standard medium grind coaxes out the bright, brown-sugar sweetness and delicate apple accents, all supported by a rich chocolate base.
- Espresso - Water: 199°F-201°F. Pulls a surprisingly dense, sweet shot. Decafs dissolve quickly, so a slightly cooler temperature keeps it smooth. The milk chocolate and toasted pecan notes create a rich, comforting shot that easily holds its own in milk.
- Moka Pot - Use a fine grind and start with hot water in the base. Bring to a gentle simmer and remove from heat early. This yields a velvety, concentrated cup where the milk chocolate tones are amplified, making it perfect for a nighttime latte.
- French Press - Water: 201°F. Use a 1:15 ratio. Full immersion highlights the coffee's naturally round body and draws out the deep, comforting flavors of roasted nuts and warm cocoa solids.

Reviews
I went into this coffee with low expectations—decaf usually feels like a consolation prize—but this coffee completely changed my mind. From the first sip, it delivers a smooth, well-rounded flavor with notes of chocolate and toasted nuts, and just a hint of caramel sweetness. There’s no harsh bitterness and none of that flat, hollow taste that often gives decaf a bad reputation. Highly recommended for a night cap.
