S/O = single-origin is sourced from one specific farm or region, showcasing higher quality and the distinct natural flavors that reflect the soil, climate, and care behind its cultivation.

This Costa Rican S/O coffee comes from Hacienda Sonora in the Central Valley region of Alajuela, a family-run estate with generations of coffee heritage. Dry-processed (natural), the whole cherries are laid out to dry on raised beds, allowing fruit sugars and character to develop slowly on the bean. The result is a vibrant, fruit-forward cup with complex, wine-like intensity balanced against rustic sweetness and rich body.

Flavor Notes:

Blackberry • Pomegranate molasses • Cinnamon apple • Plum wine • Dried prune • Rum-like aroma • Subtle fermented fruit complexity

Region: Alajuela, Central Valley, Costa Rica

Farm / Station: Hacienda Sonora (Guardia family estate with in-house dry mill)

Variety / Cultivar: Centro-americano (modern hybrid cultivars common to the estate)

Altitude: ~1300 meters above sea level

    Amazing coffee

Freshly roasted, smooth and mellow. Perfectly balanced with a bright, fruity acidity".
